Term used to describe when a young woman develops a habit of
eating her own hair(possibly as a result of
Trichotillomania) to the point of forming a
trichobezoar in her stomach.
Named for the character in the fairytale of the same name, who had such long hair that her rescuer was able to use it to climb up a tower and liberate her.
Gave rise to the memorable line "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hairball!", from Dream Country, the Sandman Graphic novel by Neil Gaiman et al.
