Aside from being the fifth track off the Shonen Knife's album Happy Hour, banana chips are yummy low-fat snacks that I love. Here's how to make then at home.

Banana Chips

Dissolve 1 cup of sugar in 3 cups of hot water.

Let cool and stir in 1 cup of honey.

Peel and slice your bananas, as many or few as you want.

Dip slices in liquid using a slotted spoon and transfer to cookie trays, making sure slices don't overlap. Parchment paper or silpat sheets are great liners, but non stick cooking spray will work well too.

Dry in oven at 115 degrees for 8-10 hrs. Till crisp. Turning once and rotating trays. Store in airtight container up to two weeks.
