| Here in Taiwan, prostitution and brothels are legal and regulated. (As mayor of Taipei, Chen Shui-bian (now president) made waves by outlawing prostitution in that city). As such, driving around one passes many seedy stairs leading into mirrored, neon oblivions, and gaudy "KTV"s and "barbershops." Lurid advertisements are slipped onto parked cars and posted at roadsides.
And then there are the respectable publications like The China Post. Its "service" classified ads are entirely for "massage" services. I'm sure you could get a massage calling any of the numbers, but I'd bet you could get extra services for a tip from most of them:
