| 5 1/4 inch disk dives are devices to read 5 1/4 inch disks, they were
(and in some cases still are) available for a variety of platforms
including C64, BBC Micro and PC. They are just the right size for
CD-ROMs, an unfortunate fact that has resulted in a huge number of
destroyed CDs and ruined drives. |
