1992 - current Acura's answer to people who often wonder. "why cant these small engine Integras have for horsepower with a smooth tourque curve?". the gs-r was an integra that originaly spawned off the integra top of the line GS model with leather and such. The vehicel in 92-93 was powered by a 1.7 liter vtec engine also known as "the other integra" since all other integras in history would and will be 1.6 or 1.8 liter. the 1.7 liter is the exact same as a 1.8 and has the same mounts but has a shorter stroke which lets it deliver a redline a 8100 rpm. see also DOHC VTEC, SOHC VTEC, VTEC-E, and 3 stage VTEC
