The sixth LP (of "new" material) by
Elvis Costello, in which the Second Elvis and his
limey sidekicks descend upon
Nashville for vibrational hijinx and stereophonic recording. Much
culture shock ensues, as Nash Vegas and
London wrestle to complete a program of
country and
rock chestnuts (often quite obscure ones) without the help of
UN peacekeepers. The unwitting catalysts in this were
George Jones and
Nick Lowe's then-father-in-law
Johnny Cash.
