Amenhotep IV

(Also called Akhenaten, Akhnaton, Ikhnaton or Amenophis IV.) His birthdate is unsure; he ruled somewhere between 1375 B.C.E. to 1357 B.C.E. (ish), when he died. He was the first Egyptian Pharoah to abolish the polytheism of his ancestors in favor of worship of a single deity, Aton (or Aten).

Tutankhamen, his successor, dismantled Amenhotep's monotheism and brought the old polytheistic ways back to Egypt.
