The American Badger is a bad-tempered, pocket-sized wolverine found in the northern United States and in Canada. It weighs about 10kg, and looks like a stout, flat weasel, with white stripes running down its back and long claws. The claws are for digging; badgers are carnivores, and when a rabbit or vole tries to escape by running into its burrow, the badger will dig in right after it. Badgers also dig their own holes, and will live in burrows that reach up to 10 meters underground.

American badgers make bad pets, but good mascots.
