Okay, okay. I've heard that '
American girls, they are all so easy'. And, I've
heard that '
Brazilian girls, man... you'll be
up in there in no time!'. Also : '
Thai girls...', '
Swedish girls...', 'Those
Pakistanis,
DAMN!...', etc., etc.,
ad infinitum. Also : '
Black girls...', 'Girls from the
city...', 'Those
country girls...', and again, you get the
point.
So it seems like someone's always thinking some other group is easy, sexually speaking. Why? Well, I've got two theories. First, the lesser of the two.
Hypothesis : Blame the genetic imperative, blame anything, but people seem to get horny when away from their home base. So, while on vacation, business trip, whatever, your average person is more apt to search out a one-night stand. And if you look for that, well, you're probably gonna find it, no matter where you are. And this person then comes back with wild, exaggerated stories of sexual conquest that all imply the same thing - 'Girls from X are so, so damn easy'.
Not sure if that hypothesis is true. Sure, it makes some sense, but I'm running on admittedly thin evidence. Now, the stronger case.
One assumption (gross simplification?) : Promiscuity in women is frowned upon the world over. (This is generally true where the European/American world has made a great impact, but is not limited to that.) So, when faced with the fact that, yes, some women are promiscuous, but promiscuous everywhere, people will tend to focus on the perceived blemish in another's culture while glossing over the same thing in their own culture. It's the same thing that causes racism, folks, and yes, we've all done it, because we're all human. (God knows I've done that...)
Result : everyone else must be just dying for some good sex, but your own culture? NAHHHHH, can't be. It's just pushing off 'moral failings' onto the Other.
I believe in this second theory; I don't have much experience in the world, but I do believe that I've seen things like this many times.
