Anton Bruckner

Austrian composer, of the romantic period, arguably the greatest symphonist ever. His works are enormous in both scope and depth, very religious in nature, and reminiscent of Wagner, whom Bruckner worshipped.

Bruckner was a shy and socially awkward man, and as such, others tended to pick on him. Brahms in particular was a real bastard to him.
