Someone who craves attention and does anything to obtain it. Often a tactic used by small children in which throwing a tantrum or shouting, teasing other children and so on is employed to get an adult's attention. The attention one gains in this manner is not usually favourable. In the case of children, they are usually ignored, and in the case of adults, they are looked upon in disgust for their childish behaviour.
