Revolutionary in Nicaragua that ended U.S. occupation of the country in 1933. Signed peace accord and cease fire agreement with Sacasa in 1933, only to be assassinated by Somoza's Guardia Nacional in 1934. His memory still lives on, however, to this day. Most Nicaraguans, and Latin Americans, honor him as a folk hero.
