ADMA represents the interests of most of the players in Direct Marketing (DM) in the Australian marketplace, including advertising agencies, mailing houses, infrastructure providers, etc.

ADMA publishes a code of practice for the DM industry, providing some protection to consumers in the areas of privacy, fair trading, and telecommunications.

ADMA also maintains a "Do Not Call" and a "Do Not Mail" list, which Australian consumers can log their names into to avoid recieving DM approaches by compliant members.
