Roadster vehicle, based on the same engine as the BMW 3 series. First introduced to the masses in the James Bond movie "Goldeneye" with a 1.8 litre 4-cylinder engine. The demand for the vehicle soon became a demand for more power so BMW put out a 2.8 litre 6-cylinder engine about a year later. Eventually, the M Roadster was introduced, which was essentially the same car with a 3.2 litre 6-cylinder engine and M based styling. The 1.8 litre engine was eventually discontinued and now the 2.3, 2.8, and 3.2 engines are the ones available.
