A large hamlet (technically) of the town of Islip, which is on the South Shore of Long Island.

One of the older towns, it has a long history of once being the most populous town on LI. From there, Fire Island flourished from Bay Shore's marina.

Home of the Entenmann's factory and the largest manufaturer of those ribbon things that banks use to make lines.

Within the borders is a small Incorporated Village of Brightwaters. Also, a good deal of Fire Island is within the jurisdiction and ZIP code of Bay Shore (11706).
