Better Than Sex Cake

1 Package Yellow Cake Mix
20 Ounce Can Crushed Pineapple (do not drain)
1 Cup Sugar
8 Ounce Package Vanilla Pudding
12 Ounce Cool Whip (thawed)

Prepare cake according to directions in a 13 x 9 inch pan. While it's baking make the pudding and set aside. Combine undrained pineapple with sugar and cook until the sugar dissolves. Cool cake for ten minutes and poke holes in the surface with the small end of a chop stick. Pour cooked pineapple over the cake, then the slightly cooled pudding. Chill cake for two hours and add cool whip as a topping.
