British Book Lifetime Achievement Award

The British Book Lifetime Achievement Award, currently known as 'The Book People' Lifetime Achievement award is one of the more prestigous categories of the British Book Awards. The first winner was Dr D.G.Hessayon, author of the Garden Expert series of books (sales of 49 million and rising) and subsequent winners of all been selected for their similar achievements in selling large quantities of books. The past winners have not been limited to mere authors as Paul Scherer, Ernest Hecht and Mark Barty-King were all publishers.
