In the Babylon 5 universe, a very strong telepath who ran away from the Psi Corps and went rogue after some experiments performed on him went bad. He started a colony of rogue telepaths on Babylon 5 in early 2262 with the permission of John Sheridan, President of the Interstellar Alliance. He became a martyr to his cause, dying while trying to avoid capture by Bester and his Corps bloodhounds.
