Caff

An 80s indie fanzine, and also the ultimate collector scum label. Run by Bob Stanley of St. Etienne fame, this label released extremely limited-run vinyl-only singles of rare/demo/offcut tracks by artists that were either on the cusp of being rather large (Manic Street Preachers, The Field Mice, Pulp), or already rather large (Galaxie 500, Buffalo Tom). 17 singles in total were released over 4 years.

The complete obscurity of virtually all of the Caff singles is in no small part helped by the allegation that Bob Stanley held on to a fair whack of each pressing to keep under his bed.

I am not proud to admit i have spent a lot of money completing my Caff collection.
