The country home of the
Prime Minister of the UK. Currently occupied by
Tony Blair (obviously). High level world leaders whom the PM considers to be important (i.e
George W Bush) are often invited there for
tea, biscuits and a spot of heavy regime change. The current house was built in the last few centuries, but there has been a house on the grounds since the 1100's. It was built for a
Chancellor of the Exchequer, hence the name.
Happy fun fact: My
home town lies pretty much directly beneath the helicopter route to Chequers, meaning that I have developed the urge to give every passing
helicopter a
good old fashioned finger.
