Chimay

It is best-known as one of the only remaining monasteries that still brews Trappist beers. Of these, it is the largest and most well-known; see http://www.chimay.be/.

Chimay brews three main Trappist ales:

• The Chimay Grande Reserve (also called Chimay Blue) is dark, strong, and port-like. Many consider it to be the "best beer in the world".
• The Chimay Premiere (also called Chimay Red) is lighter, coppery in color, with a slightly fruity flavor.
• The Chimay Cinq Cents (also called Chimay Triple or Chimay White) is a more typical blond/golden Belgian Triple beer.

Chimay also makes four different types of Trappist cheeses.
