Chris Williamson is a feminist/lesbian singer and songwriter, credited with the best-selling lesbian album of all time, The Changer and the Changed. Later in her career she felt pigeonholed by the category of music she performed and switched to a more general audiences folk music sound. Unfortunately many in the lesbian community weren't impressed by the switch and failed to support her effort to be reclassified.
