The very uncreative name for the Coca-Cola company's new entry into the U.S. soft drink market. Competing with Pepsi Twist (specifically Diet Pepsi Twist), Diet Coke with Lemon adds an artificial lemon flavoring to ordinary Diet Coke. It is scheduled to go on sale in the third calendar quarter of 2001 in the United States.
Perhaps this will help alleviate the aftertaste caused by the artificial sweetener used in Diet Coke.
Satisfied with the success of Diet Coke with Lemon, the Coca-Cola company introduced Diet Coke with Lime in January 2004.
