Doom" palm` (?). [Ar. daum, dum: cf. F. doume.] Bot. A species of palm tree (Hyphaene Thebaica), highly valued for the fibrous pulp of its fruit, which has the flavor of gingerbread, and is largely eaten in Egypt and Abyssinia. [Written also doum palm.]
