Double gunning

Using two handguns at the same time, often firing them in a alternating, seesaw fashion. This method of attack is favored amongst super-villains and super crimefighters in Hong Kong movies. Using two guns seem to result in a strange synergy effect rendering the double gunner more than twice as efficient as his single-gun-touting adversaries.

The "protagonist with two pistols" is commonly associated with the work of action director John Woo.
