More commonly known as La Ciudad de Los Angeles, Los Angeles, or just LA. Apparently the Spanish monks had a penchant for really long-ass names. Many streets for hundreds of miles around have Spanish names, thankfully much more brief in nature.
The closest mission to El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles del Rio de Porciuncula is San Gabriel Arcángel. A day's ride to the west would take the traveller of old to San Fernando Rey de España; a day's ride to the south would get you to San Juan Capistrano. |
