The most interesting thing about this song, musically speaking, is that the bridge consists of two different vocal tracks, arranged contrapuntally. Furthermore, it uses medieval-style counterpoint, in which two completely different melodies and verses are sung at the same time, rather than the later Renaissance or Baroque counterpoint in which the various parts imitate each other, as in the works of Bach.
