| A "style" of music which combines some of the better aspects of goth, industrial, rap, techno, and funk. The first proponent of this genre was the Detroit music group Rogue Angel Seven. Most people seem to think that this is a joke, but the style truly exists. RA7's last CD featured a hip-hop track ("Pepper Breed"), a trance song ("Burn Myself"), a guitar-driven industrial tune ("Seventh Station"), a rock ballad ("Rose"), and a goth track laced with wah-wah-induced funk guitar ("Wide Awake"). Other Detroit area groups have picked up the Ghetto Goth flag since Rogue Angel Seven's breakup in 1998, such as Dragon Tears Descending. |
