Headingley

Headingley plays host to two large sports grounds (which share one perimeter wall). The cricket ground is home to the Yorkshire cricket team and also regularly hosts international fixtures such as this week's test match with Australia as part of The Ashes series. The other ground is home to the rugby team the Leeds Rhinos.

Things to do in Headingley include:

Pubs

• The Original Oak - traditional pub with an extensive beer garden, not quite as many rugby players as The Skyrack.
• The Skyrack - opposite the Original Oak, together they form one of the most lucrative businesses in Leeds.
• The Taps - best for a pre-club quick drink.
• The Arc - new, trendy, shiny glass building next to the Lounge Cinema.
• O'Hagan's (The New Inn) - great offers on drink. Good to wach sports in.
• The Three Horseshoes - usual English pub, heated outdoor seating.
• Woodies - serves real ale, a traditional pub in every sense. Marks the end of most Otley Runs.

Cafes and Restaurants

• Dare Cafe - pizza pasta style.
• Citrus Cafe - sandwiches and pool.
• The Arc - pizza pasta again, can also eat in the bar.
• Tariq's - great Indian food.
• Dynasty - chinese (but I've never been).

Cinemas

• The Lounge Cinema - has a bar so you can drink and watch simultaneously.
• Cottage Road Cinema - small and cosy.
