Why indeed I am! I'm fighting for the common man, who happens to be a liberal agnostic Native American. I'm able to see through the political mind games that are played by those dastardly conservatives, as it's obvious that only my party is honest. Rush Limbaugh!? If only he was half as unbiased as Phil Donahue!
I am so open-minded that I don't even bother to argue with those fundamentalist right wing bible thumping jerks. All they ever try to do is force their philosophy on me--don't they know it's my right to be a flaming homosexual?
I am so open-minded that I refuse to trade racial slurs with those cracker suits. I am open-minded, so just shut up if you disagree.
And the moral of this exaggeration is...?
It's strange that the term open-minded has, at least in my view, become associated with liking absolutely everything EXCEPT the majority. In reality, the term means to give everything a chance, something a lot of people on both sides of the above hyperbole fail to do. If you happen to prefer one thing over another, that's OK by me. However, don't discount something just because it's a common belief. You don't have to be a rebel.
The above was written after reading I am a soldier, although it turned out to hardly be related. You'll have to pardon the conservative bias, I happen to know more liberal folk like this than conservative, although it's obvious both exist.
