| The only thing I can say for myself is what was said to me on a tubing trip a few years back. We had a few local stand-up comedians in our midst. Twelve of us in innertubes tied together, a beer cooler in its own tube tied between them, floating down a gently sloping river.
This was at a time when I had no money, so my bathing suit consisted of the worst choice for a top, a white tank top (and no, it wasn't exactly intentional, just stupid) and boxers for bottoms.
Upon coming up out of the water, I was told by one of the comedians, "Cold water does wonders for you , Laura."
As easy a pot shot as it was, I also thought it was kind of cool, though simple compliment. I looked down when he said that and realized, yeah, they do look kind of neat . |
