This is what happens when things start going well in my life. There I am, surrounded by the soft, fluffy pillows of momentary contentment when comments like that fall out of my brain on to paper or worse, into spoken conversation. I mean, "I'm so toasty you could spread jam on me" ? My little smile fades as I note everyone staring at me. All I can think is "Inner voice, inner voice, dammit!"
Kind of like the Christmas when we were all opening gifts and someone gave me tupperware. I love tupperware. It makes my life so organized and keeps my food fresh! So I said "Tupperware! Excellent!" and tore into the box with previously unnoticed enthusiasm. I looked up as the room got very quiet. Everyone was staring at me.
