Another common phrase used to chide people who just don't get it. A line particularly favoured by rocket scientists to chastise other, dimmer rocket scientists because they can't use the line "It's not rocket science".

Unfortunately, people who are neither rocket scientists nor brain surgeons have a tendency to mangle both phrases simultaneously by saying "It's not rocket surgery"
