(person) by mikemoto (2 y) (print)   ?   I like it! Fri Jun 29 2001 at 1:40:55

Second son of Theodore Roosevelt. He accompanied his father on a successful trek to explore the source Brazil's Rio Di Davuda or River of Doubt, and nearly died from both malaria and drowning. A tributary of this river was named the Rio Kermit in his honor. A prolific writer and world traveller, he unfortunately became an alcoholic during The Great Depression and committed suicide during World War II while stationed in Alaska, where his remains lie to this day.
