Mary's place is the name of the fictional bar that was built to replace that other great fictional bar, Callahan's place. Spider Robinson uses Mary's place as the setting in his books The Callahan's Touch, and Callahan's Legacy. In the series, Mary's place is built by Jake Stonebender after the original Callahan's place is destroyed to save the world, and Mike Callahan goes back from when he came. Much like Callahan's place, the main activities at Mary's place are drinking, punning, and saving the world.
