The phenomenon otherwise known as chronic luck syndrome. Some people appear to have some sort of unidentifiable stranglehold on the laws of probability, and as a result end up getting choice parking spots, winning raffles, and remembering that they left the stove on before it burns the house down. The term refers to the theory that these people must have God on their side to live such charmed lives.
