A man leaves his house, goes 50 miles south, then 50 miles west, and finally goes 50 miles north, and arrives back at his house. How is this possible? He only has one house, and his directions are perfect.
A variation of this puzzle sometimes makes the man a hunter and has him shoot a bear somewhere along the way, and asks what color the bear was.
