Washington state license plates, referring to the geographical location of said US state.
It's also my preferred replacement for the stock phrase "Pacific Northwest". It always makes me think of that euphorically futuristic Jetsons-type bat-winged car classic American nuclear family sort of atmosphere. With a few pine trees thrown in for good measure.
