Paramita

A Sanskrit/Pali word derived from parami (roughly translated as "supreme quality"), and rather hard to translate into English.

It is often translated as "something perfect or supreme". For example, prajna is wisdom, while prajna paramita is generally translated as supreme wisdom.

In Buddhism, there are six paramitas, i.e. "supreme virtues" or "perfect practices" that lead to the other shore:
