Paremata

Paremata is a suburb of Porirua near Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. 41-07' South, 174-52' East.

Originally named after Paramatta in Sydney by whalers in the 19th century, the name was misspelt in a "maoricised" form on the railway station in the 1930's.
