Held in
Versailles of
France at the end of the
First World War, the Paris Peace Conference was the site of all the
Paris Peace Treaties in January 1919. The Conference was for the main part dominated by the "
The Big Three", or the "
The Big Four" powers, at least up until
Vittorio Orlando, the Italian leader at the time,
stormed out.
A number of treaties were drawn up at the Paris Peace Conference including the oh-so-important
Treaty of Versailles.
Other treaties resulting from the peace talks included:
Treaty of St. Germain
Treaty of Neuilly
Treaty of Trianon
Treaty of Lausanne
It was within these treaties that most of the redrawing of the map of Europe took place.
Most of the results of the Conference did little to help, and as some would argue, led to the Second World War.
