From Italian, poco curante, 'caring little'.

Insouciant, devil-may-care, person who engages in idle chatter (hence a noder, occasionally).

The noun "pococurantism" means indifference to matters of importance but concern about trifles. Also used for one who in argument leaves the main gist and rides off on some minor and indifferent point.

It can be concluded that to debate against a pococurante is to court disaster.
