Née Engel; a native of Ohio. Member of the Walker Brothers (60's blue-eyed lite soul music with a UK teenybopper following - BTW, they were neither Walkers nor Brothers - classix include "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore"). His solo career has been a masterful destruction of, first, his teenage fan base (via erudite, hyper-produced pop songs and Jacques Brel covers), and, later, his medium (via subversions of the song form, e.g. the Climate of Hunter LP).
