An amazing invention. There's nothing better than a thicker slice of wonderful white bread. Why wasn't this thought of sooner? You can sell the same-sized loaf of bread with half the slices for the same price as a regular loaf! As well, Texas toast has less surface area to volume than regular bread so that your sandwiches have a higher bread to innards content and when it's toasted you get more of that untoasted bread taste you love!

Find me a restaurant in North America that doesn't serve Texas toast now.

I can't wait until other foodstuffs follow the Texas toast example. Soon we'll have Oreo Double Cooki cookies, with double the cookie portion of the Oreo!
