In 1960 Frank Zappa (now age 19) formed The Boogie Men a (literally) garage band featuring himself at last on vocals and the axe (lead guitar) which would make him famous, Kenny Burgan on saxophone, Doug Rost playing rhythm guitar and one other member lost to the mists of obscurity.
