The commercial opens with a girl on a couch, reading
with her mother. The scene shifts to the girl in a
hammock and then on the porch, where the girl finishes
reading her book. "Good job," the mother says. "Let's
go to McDonald's." The next scene is at a McDonald's
restaurant where the girl is standing at the counter.
The camera zooms in and we see that the girl is
reading a braille menu. "Happy Meal, please," she says.
The girl in the ad is Hannah Weathered from Montana and she
really is blind. She was 6-years old when the ad was made.
This is the only commercial on TV that makes me
consistantly weepy whenever I see it.
