  • An early-60's hit for Herbie Hancock, much covered back in the day; the fat (for jazz) royalty checks were a motivation for his later career moves (for no-one can eat just one), as in I need another "Watermelon Man", and fast! Hence Headhunters, hence "Rockit".

  • A 1970 Melvin Van Peebles film, starring Godfrey Cambridge as a proto-Archie Bunker bigot who wakes up one morning as a black man.
