Waxwing is an indie rock, emo band on the Second Nature Recordings label. Their music is dripping with a quiet anger, and a lot of emo's trademark angst. They sound something like Alkaline Trio with the tinniest bit of Tool influence.

Members of Waxwing are: Rocky Votolato on guitar, Cody Votolato on guitar, Andrey Hartley on bass and Rudy Gajadhar on the drums.

    Wax"wing` (?), n. Zool.

    Any one of several species of small birds of the genus Ampelis, in which some of the secondary quills are usually tipped with small horny ornaments resembling red sealing wax. The Bohemian waxwing (see under Bohemian) and the cedar bird are examples. Called also waxbird.
