An expression indicating that one is ill prepared to face the current problem. Originally coined "We're going to need a bigger boat." by Roy Scheider in Steven Spielberg's 1975 movie Jaws. According to "the making of", the line was one that Scheider improvised on camera after seeing the shark actually pop out of the water. Apparantly, the crew had a mighty tough time getting the shark to work during the shoot.
