A popular Mexican drink, agua de fruta (literally: fruit water) is made by blending fruit in water, with serious amounts of sugar.
Agua de fruta is normally made with pineapple (piña), guava (guayava), watermelon (sandia), and even lemon.
Usually home made, at times served with comida corrida. The picky tourist in Mexico is advised to inquire on the origin of the water employed: ¿Perdón, pero utilizaron agua del garrafón ? (excuse me, did you guys use bottled water ?).

A tasty commercial substitute is Boing!.
